Amalia Hadjinikolaou adopts a skilled technique which combines the ancient knowledge of oil paint along with digital printing, giving life to real bodies made of shadows and silhouettes that are cut from lively scenes with a fiery red hue formed by light. These figures are reminiscent of mythological existences of majestic centaurs, where their grandeur is intentionally contradictory since their existence is simply phenomenal, platonic shadows to be exact, an eternal symbol of the undivided connection of energy and attenuation, of presence and absence.
